Good news for all friends of XML.
OXF (The Open XML Framework) goes Open Source! OXF includes an XForm implementation, a MVC framework, the XPL language (this is XML based flow control), a data access layer and more. You can get a full application going and deployed on your favorite J2EE server without writing one line of Java code. The OXF studio, an Eclipse plug-in, allows to assemble the entire application.
If you hit the limits or need something very fancy, OXF provides an Java API to write your own extension (like my Notes processor which still isn't more than 0.01Alpha). Go give it a shot!
