Jake published a Blog about this site, that both resulted quite some comments and traffic to this place. So a big thank you to Jake. I found the comments valuable (Yes, I will work on my English spelling) and interesting. I'm sorry that I can't meet the expectation for instant gratification and deliver a full blown site with tons of resources even before the official launch. The nature of a Blog is to develop gradually?
For the intention: YES we do want to get a slice of the consulting business. NO we don't want to evangelize to departure from Domino. We rather want to paint a realistic picture about the sense and nonsense of migration efforts. I've been listening to so many sales pitches of consultants and tool vendors, that really p****d me of, since their basic assumption always was: Domino is Dead. As written before: I think Domino has a place and an usable solution looks like a blend of Domino and other technologies. (Usable in the sense of it's ISO definition: efficient, effective and satisfactory to use).
You will find articles about: Complexity assessment, J2EE, XML, Groove, Domino bits and pieces, product reviews, success and failure stories (the later if we can get the people involved to open up ;-) ).
Glad to have you back here!
